Unusual Medieval Fairy-tale Temple Village in Myanmar
The visit is definitely worthwhile
How did the middle ages look like in the West? Different than they did in the East, but there is one shared experience. People built temples and holy places more than they do today. This extraordinary village of Buddha temples was built centuries ago in the village Indein in Myanmar near Inle Lake and attracts tourists with the unique combination of history, architecture and nature. The isolated sightseeing jewel is made of many temples with pointed towers and Buddha statues. A part of them are left as they used to be, and the rest are renovated – still, the visit is definitely worthwhile. Although reaching the place takes a while, it creates a lifetime memory.
