Woman Makes Realistic Cakes That Will Freak You Out

One artist is wowing everyone with the kind of cakes that she can make, and some of them are pretty lifelike! Katherine Dey is the cake maker behind these amazing pieces of edible art, and she even holds many tutorials teaching everyone how they can make their very own realistic cakes. These completely edible cakes can sometimes be cute, but many times they may make you want to eat cake just a little bit less. The pigeon cake below is one of her more tame creations.

Who doesn’t want to eat a tiny cake that looks like a pigeon, after all, it looks really appetizing after you decapitate it. While the cakes may not make your mouth water, it is still stunning to think that they made of only sugar and edible ingredients. If pigeons aren’t your thing, then you can eat this delicious looking honeycomb cake covered in bees!

On to a less appetizing cake, a realistic looking Lamprey. This may be one of the few foods that can be both delicious and give you nightmares. Katherine’s cakes are so realistic looking that without a slice taken out of them, it’s hard to tell what is real and what is cake.

By far one of the goriest cakes she has ever made is the realistic looking heart below, complete with fake blood. My tastebuds have never been more confused in my life.
