Delicate Iranian Architecture Presented in a Monumental Light Pattern

The cube is suspended from the ceiling and it contains only one central light bulb

Amazing look of Iranian architecture
The Pakistani artist Anila Agha made this stunning light installation to symbolize the amazing look of Iranian architecture via fragile light patterns. The installation is made from black lacquer wood cube, that is cut with laser precision to draw the delicate shapes so representative of the famous rich Islamic architecture.

The cube is suspended from the ceiling and it contains only one central light bulb that glorifies the walls around with a spellbinding magnificent 32-feet-by-34-feet play of dark and light.

If you know the beautiful Iranian mosques, then you will instantly be ready to put up a whole holy place around the architectural shadows. Anila Agha originates from Lahore and took her degree in Fiber Arts at the Univeristy of North Texas. The project named “Intersections” won her the 2014 Public Vote Grand Prize.
