Meet the Artist Who Started the Rock Balancing Sculptures Trend

They call him the founder of rock balancing. He is the first sculptor who started the sleek stone art by making landscape sculptures in nature. Throughout his artistic career, Andy Goldsworthy has been amazingly productive transforming the natural environment with magnificent human touch.This British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist usually works with colored leaves, flowers, twigs, rocks, branches or icicles. He shapes the elements into the environment so that they follow the natural flow but they also give it a new meaning.

Andy lives in Scotland and has been awarded the OBE title. This is what he says about his work:”I think it’s incredibly brave to be working with flowers and leaves and petals. But I have to: I can’t edit the materials I work with. My remit is to work with nature as a whole.”
