As Creators reports, he picks flowers growing around his Southern California neighborhood and brings them back to his home for shoots. It’s only after he perfects the lighting that the plants begin to resemble something grown on a different planet.
To capture the invisible fluorescence emitted by flowers, Burrows hits them with an ultraviolet light and films them using long-exposure photography. The result comes as close as you can get to a natural black-light poster. You can check out the psychedelic images below.
