Sometimes it takes only a simple creation to ignite powerful emotions such as this sculpture in the Atacama Desert of Chile made by the Chilean artist Mario Irarrazabal. Mario is an author of many similar sculptures around the world, loved by his fans because of the simple emotions they express. The monument named Mano del Desierto or “Hand of the Desert” is secluded in the dust, 75 km far from the closest town of Antofagasta. The ”Hand of the Desert” is a favorite sightseeing landmark put on the maps of Chilean tourists. Thousand curious visitors come to see this amazing place each year, admiring to the symbol of human powerlessness for more than 20 years now.
