The Celebrity Apprentice alum took some "me" time to lounge poolside with a female friend during the getaway. She stood out in a bright purple top and colorful bottoms, but seemed more interested in making a cute sand habitat for ocean creatures with her kids.
"It was comfortable," Kate said on her TLC show on Tuesday, June 23. "It was the relaxation that I needed after that busy trip."
In addition, she also shut down talk about her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. "Don't talk to me about ex situations," she said. "I don't define myself with that." (The exes have been in an ongoing battle since divorcing in 2009, with Kate having primary custody of their children. Last month, Jon, 38, asked for full custody of their daughter Hannah.)

As previously reported, Kate's kids - Cara, Madelyn, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel - also took part in the sunny getaway. The family enjoyed a private birthday lunch at Haab restaurant, had fun at the Little Eko Chefs Kitchen, and the kids decorated gourmet birthday cakes for their famous mom.
