Kate Middleton Arrives at Princess Charlotte Christening, Stuns in Alexander McQueen Dress

Kate Middleton wore a cream-colored Alexander McQueen dress

All hail the Duchess!

Kate Middleton looked gorgeous in a cream-colored Alexander McQueen dress and a matching cream-colored coat at the christening of her daughter, Princess Charlotte, on Sunday, July 5. The royal Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William looked picture-perfect for the event, which saw several hundred people gathered outside the gates of Sandringham Estate, where the christening took place.

Middleton, 33, also donned a stylish white Jane Taylor hat as she pushed the lady of the hour — 2-month-old Princess Charlotte — in a pram she borrowed from the Queen. According to an onlooker, she kept a close eye on her son, Prince George of Cambridge, stroking his hair, though it was William who held the tiny royal’s hand in the lead-up to the ceremony.

At Prince George’s christening in October 2013, Middleton wore a similar outfit sitting for official portraits shot by celebrity photographer Jason Bell — an ivory dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Earlier on Sunday, Kensington Palace revealed the five people who will serve as godparents to the fourth in line to the throne, including Sophie Carter, James Meade, Adam Middleton, the Honorary Laura Fellowes, and Thomas van Straubenzee.
