“Skeleton Flowers” Turn Amazingly Transparent in the Rain

It doesn’t damage the flower

Becoming amazingly as clear as glass
The Diphylleia Grayi looks like an ordinary flower, with simple white petals. But when it rains it transforms into an extraordinary flower, a skeleton flower that becomes transparant. When in contact with water the petals are becoming amazingly as clear as glass.

This isn’t an one-time effect, because it doesn’t damage the flower. When they dry out, the petals return to white! The Diphylleia Grayi grows on moist, wooded mountainsides in colder regions of Japan, China and the Appalachian Mountains in the United States during late spring.
