Watch This Horse Learn How To Swim In The Ocean

I‘ve seen horses on the beach before, but this is definitely a first!

Horses never cease to amaze me. These majestic, giant beauties are so gentle with humans and yet so powerful when they need to be. Horses can be useful for human therapy and obviously offer us their backs when we want to ride off into the sunset. These incredible animals are so good to us, and it’s important to help them out as well.

In the following video, we see a truly beautiful moment as a man takes his horse into the sea to learn how to swim on Miyagi Island in Okinawa, Japan. After seeing this video of a horse who became trapped in a swimming pool, I didn’t even think horses enjoyed swimming or even really knew how.

Yet apparently swimming is highly recommended by all equine veterinarians, and this video by Marylka Yoe Uusisaari on YouTube is spectacular proof.

The horse looks a little skeptical to gallop right into the water at first, but after a few moments it’s clear that he is loving the warm ocean…and why not?! Just take a look at the beautiful view that surrounds him. This horse probably doesn’t realize he’s truly living in paradise!
