Fantastic Spray-Colored Bird Murals Turn Up on the Streets of Rome

The Brazilian street artist Luis Seven Martins is known for these amazing and unique bird murals, initiated in his home country Brazil, and now painted on many city walls across the world. Luis’ artistic name is L7m or L’M7, both alternatives signifying a permutation of first letters and numbers connected to his name.

He started painting when he was only 13 using spray paints, geometrical elements, and stylized color. The street art work is influenced by Rayonism, an abstract art style originating in Russia from abut 100 years ago. Colorful bird murals represent a mixture of emotions permeating busy streets and wearing the style imprint of famous painters – Modigliani, Van Gogh, Caravaggio, Picasso, John James Audubon and Mark Rothko.
