In this exclusive clip from Voltron, Legendary Defender, the big 'bot takes on Robeast, an OG Voltron foe (the '80s cartoon version, like Voltron, assembled from animal-based mechs: a minotaur, a snake, a wolf and a shark).
DreamWorks enlisted Joaquim Dos Santos and co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery (The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender) to mix old and new animation techniques to give Voltron the look and feel we all remember — but something that's far more modern than anything the original's anime cells could convey.
