With all of this Toy Story lovin’, here are 10 things that only people who love Toy Story understand.
1. There’s flying–and then there’s falling with style
Everybody wants to fly in life, to soar to the greatest heights and have complete control over life. But Buzz Lightyear shows us very fantastically that flying isn’t always a possibility, but no matter what obstacles you encounter (such as a ball right in the middle of your landing path) you can always fall with style.
2. A true friend will always stand by your side
There’s really no movie that displays this better than the Toy Story series. These friends go on adventures that involve the greatest dangers any toy can encounter. I mean think about how scary it was for the toys to get to Al’s Toy Barn in hopes of rescuing one of their own! In every movie they stick their parts on the line to make sure they can always save their friends.
3. Everybody has a heart
If you’re a lover of Toy Story, then you know that no matter how tiny the toy, each one has their very own heart. Even the ones that were left behind to collect dust on the shelf, like poor Wheezy. Everyone has feelings and a heart, and we should all remember that about every person, animal, and toy that we meet.
4. Remember to always be a kid
As we watch Andy grow from the second to the third movie, it almost hurts our hearts when he no longer imagines the toys and their adventures. Until we get to the end of the third, when he is handing off his toys and his memories. Then suddenly he is reminded, as are we, that no matter how old you are, you’re always a kid at heart.
5. Live life to infinity and beyond
Last thing only great fans would understand: You haven’t cried harder tears than those of the third movie
If you’ve been a lover of Toy Story, especially since the beginning, then when the ending of Toy Story 3 beings, the tears start falling hard. Ugly crying begins as soon as we think the lives of the toys are in peril in the garbage and continue as Andy hands his toys off to the next generation. The tears don’t really stop until the credits are rolling, and we realize that these toys aren’t just toys from a movie. They’re a part of our lives and a part of our growing up, and we have a hard time saying goodbye.
Luckily for us, Toy Story lovers don’t have to say goodbye much longer! Toy Story 4 is in production and is slated to be hitting theaters in 2018, giving us a whole new adventure with our favorite friends.
