1. In a Rooftop Diner
If you live in a big city that has rooftop diners, then you should make reservations for one. Then, when the fireworks start going off, you'll have the perfect view of them. If you live in an apartment building, then you might be able to climb up on your own roof. Just don't break any rules.
2. On a Hotel Room Balcony
You two could rent a hotel for the night. If it has a balcony, then you can stand outside while you ring in the new year. You'll have a great view of the town around you, and an even better view of the sky above you. It's the perfect place for a romantic kiss.
3. On a Picnic
If it's warm enough out, you can grab a blanket and lay it out in your backyard. Then you can have a midnight picnic under the stars. Just make sure you have some sort of technology outside with you, so you know exactly when midnight strikes. If you're lucky, then maybe your neighbors will even set off some fireworks.
4. At Times Square
If you live anywhere near New York, then you'll want to go to Times Square to watch the ball drop. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Plus, when you're there, it'll be impossible to stop smiling. After all, everyone around you will be laughing and cheering. Their attitudes will be contagious.
5. On a Dock by the Water
Fireworks over the water look wonderful. That's why you should find a spot that is going to set off fireworks, and then find a place nearby to sit on a dock. If you live in a place that's always warm, you can dangle your feet in the water. Otherwise, you can bring a blanket with you and wrap yourself up in it while looking up at the sky.
6. On a Ferris Wheel
This one will be hard to do, but if you can pull if off, it'll be incredibly romantic. You should start by going to an amusement park or a carnival that has a ferris wheel. Then you should get on the line around midnight and hope that there aren't too many people with the same idea.
7. In Front of the Television
You two don't actually have to go out on the town in order to enjoy New Year's Eve. In fact, it might be more romantic if you spend the evening together in the house than out and about with tons of people bustling around you. Then he'll definitely be the last person you see in 2015 and the first person you see in 2016. What's more romantic than that?
