Gwyneth Paltrow says ex-husband Chris Martin is 'like my brother now'

Married for 10 years before separating

Consciously uncoupling
Good luck consciously uncoupling this thought from your brain.

In an interview for Glamour's March issue — featuring Gwyneth Paltrow as its cover girl — the actress said that ex-husband Chris Martin is now like a "brother" to her.

Paltrow and the Coldplay frontman were married for 10 years before separating in March 2014 and officially filing for divorce in April 2015 (the case is ongoing). They remained friendly — notoriously coining the phrase "consciously uncoupling" — in an effort to co-parent their children Apple and Moses.

Pere's Paltrow's full quote:

Chris is a great ex-husband 'cause he's a very, very willing partner in how to do that. We're constantly putting aside our own stuff and trying to reimagine something that we don't personally have an example for.... We spend a lot of time together. He's been away for two weeks [promoting his album]. Last night he got in at midnight and slept here so he could surprise the kids in the morning, we could all have breakfast, and he could take them to school. So…we're not living together, but he's more than welcome to be with us whenever he wants. And vice versa: I sleep in his house in Malibu a lot with the kids. We'll have a weekend all together; holidays, we're together. We're still very much a family, even though we don't have a romantic relationship.Paltrow also spoke about performing on Martin's new album, clarifying that she is "just singing a bit of harmony," but that her father's death in 2002 did influence lyrics in the song "Everglow."

Let's hope this means Martin's Super Bowl performance will be a full-blown family affair.
