Eco-friendly bike washes your clothes while you exercise

Designers of Dalian Nationalities University in China developed the design of a hybrid between a washing machine and bike – a bike washing machine. According to Daily Mail, the invention is an exercise bike, with the innovative feature of the front wheel being actually a washing machine tank. With this, you can save time by joining the two activities of exercising and doing laundry at the same time, in addition to saving electricity.

According to a description on Tuvie provided by the students who designed the bike: “When you ride this bike, the pedaling motion causes the drum of the washing machine to rotate; at the same time, superfluous electricity is generated which can be used to power the display screen or [be] stored for future use.”

With this new concoction, you can stop complaining about the lack of time for exercising and doing house. Pedaling the bike rotates the washing machine to wash your clothes. But not only that: a generator coupled inside the bike also produces electricity, which feeds the digital screen of the machine and can store energy for future use. Currently, the university students are already involved in the construction of a prototype of the machine.
