Welcome to the Most Beautiful Polish Village

These astonishing wooden cottages are located in Dabrowa County in the Southeastern part of Poland. The name of the wonderful fairytale village is Zalipie, and it is listed among the Polish most attractive tourist locations. The essential beauty of this place comes out from the small art pieces and architecture drawings created with the love of the local citizens in a period lasting more than a hundred years.

The tradition was started by the local ladies who decided to decorate their own homes with garlands of colorful beautiful flowers. Each of the women put a loving effort into the close surrounding to beautify the whole village. Floral decorations are now everywhere – on house walls, dog houses, bridges, pottery, window and door frames, even in the local church.

The unique beauty of this place is in its own imperfections. Local women may have not had the greatest artistry skills, but the love invested is evident in each leaf and every petal.
