Now, the little girl is 11 and is leading workshops and other helpful classes to inspire other kids to get up and create something of their very own. If you haven’t picked up on it already, Mikaila is heading on to be a very successful girl with has large dreams for her now established lemonade company.
The lemonade comes in 4 different flavors: Mint, Ginger, Tea and Prickly Pear, all leaving customers coming back for more. Not only is her company booming, but a portion of everything she makes goes to help save honey bees, vital members of the ecosystem. All ingredients, including honey and mint, are locally sourced helping out small businesses in the area.
Creating a lemonade empire all focused on saving the bees probably isn’t what Mikaila’s parents thought she would be doing at such a young age, but they are certainly proud. Her first sting was at the age of 4, and her homemade lemonade was created shortly thereafter. Working with her parents she slowly grew her recipe and company, even going on to make a deal with millionaire Daymond John on the hit TV show, Shark Tank.

We all need to learn a big lesson from little Mikaila Ulmer — you’re never too old to get out there and create something of our own. As adults we worry about failure, something that isn’t present when we’re children. Imagine how different the world would be if we all chased our dreams and weren’t afraid of failing, get out there and start living.
